Honoring The Hunterdon County Democrat's 175th Anniversary
|WHEREAS, the evolution of the Hunterdon
County Democrat began in 1825, as a culmination of many small community
newspapers that had come and gone during the 19th century; and
WHEREAS, the Hunterdon Gazette made its first appearance on March 24, 1825, and is the "Democrat's" oldest ancestor; and
WHEREAS, the Hunterdon County Democrat has been providing local news to the residents of Hunterdon County, and the surrounding area for 175 years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Hunterdon does hereby recognize the Hunterdon County Democrat on this most prestigious accomplishment and sends its best wishes on its 175th Anniversary.
