Preparedness staff develops and present training for staff, volunteers, and emergency responders on a wide variety of topics including:
Medical Needs Sheltering
Points of Distribution (POD) Management
Psychological First Aid
Bioterrorism agents
Communicable disease investigation
Communicable and Emerging infectious diseases
The preparedness group also collaborates with outside agencies to sponsor programs, including the FEMA/TEEX National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center (NERRTC), the American Red Cross, and the New Jersey Department of Health.
