Fishing Clinic

  • Date: Thursday, April 20
  • Time: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
  • Location: Teetertown Camper’s Lot, 20 Pleasant Grove Road, Port Murray

Let us show you the basics of fishing, including safety, etiquette, equipment, and casting. Meet Patrick Eckard, Recreation Program Coordinator, at the Teetertown Camper’s Parking Lot (the third entrance if coming from Califon). We have a limited number of fishing rods available to borrow. Bait, hooks, bobbers, and weights are provided. If you have your own fishing equipment, you may bring it with you.

Scout First Aid

  • Time: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
  • Location: Echo Hill Main Lodge   
  • Ages: all scouts (Not a Merit Badge; children must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Cost: free! (pre-registration required)
  • Class size: 10 scouts

Did you miss the First Aid course in your scout group? We will cover all fundamental first aid for cub and girl scouts. This is not a Merit Badge!!! If you are looking for a Merit Badge please contact Patrick Eckard at peckard@co.hunterdon.nj.us.

Fire Building

In this program, we will learn how to start a fire. We will go over the different steps to starting a fire with surrounding materials, and how to keep it going for as long as necessary. This program is great for scouts or anyone who likes to do outdoor activities.
