Rabies Control
The Office of Environmental Health provides bite reporting and referral, treatment consultations, specimen transport to Trenton, Community Rabies Shot Clinics, and public information. Visit the New Jersey State Department of Health, Veterinary Public Health, or the Centers for Disease Control webpage for more information.
Note: Rabies Vaccinations are provided to the Municipalities by the State of New Jersey. If you are a resident of the State of New Jersey you are eligible to participate in any of the FREE Rabies programs listed below. Proof of residency will be required to participate.
If you are not a resident of the State of New Jersey, you must contact the municipality that is holding the rabies clinic and see if they will allow you to participate in the program that they are holding.
