Over several deacades, many historic markers have been placed throughout Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission has been reviewing county-placed markers for historical accuracy, and inclusive, culturally sensitive language. From this effort, www.hunthistory.org was born.
This ADA-compliant website provides accurate, in-depth content to enhance the information provided on the markers. Sign riders with the site URL and a QR code assist on increasing the public's awareness of and engagement with local history.
PLEASE NOTE: This project is currently being revamped for the upcoming Semiqueincentennial! We appreciate your patience while this work is in progress. Applications for historic markers are currently suspended.
