Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 4:30 pm in the Hunterdon County County Commissioner's Meeting Room, located at:

About the Board
The Hunterdon County Construction Board of Appeals was established by the Hunterdon County Board of County Commissioners pursuant to the Uniform Construction Code of the State of New Jersey. The Construction Board hears appeals from the decisions of local government agencies (municipalities) within Hunterdon County by an appellant (i.e. building/home owner or their agent, or counsel representing appellant who is an established corporation).
Note: The Board does not have jurisdiction in the following Hunterdon County Municipalities:
- Bloomsbury Borough
- Frenchtown Borough
- Glen Gardner Borough
- Hampton Borough
- Holland Township
- Milford Borough

What Can Be Appealed
- Denial of an application for a permit
- Failure of the Municipality to Act on an Application for a Construction Permit
- Failure of the Municipality to act on an Application for a Certificate of Occupancy.
- Denial of a Variation
- Assessment of Penalties
- Issuance of a Notice of Violation
- Issuance of a Imminent Hazard
- Stop Work Order
- Fire Lane Obstruction
- And others
Important Note
The applicant shall notify their Municipality that they are appealing any violations besides sending the appeal to the County. Contact your municipality for additional information.
