VIETNAM MEMORIAL MOVING WALL
October 23, 2001

Freeholder Director George D. Muller accepted on behalf of the Hunterdon County Board of Chosen Freeholders a directional sign of the Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall when it was in Flemington on September 30th through October 5th of 2000. The sign and plaque were given to the County from the Hunterdon County Veterans' Alliance who were instrumental in the Vietnam Wall coming to Hunterdon County.

The inscription reads a follows:

John Van Nuys, John Le Gates of the Hunterdon County Veterans' Alliance and Freeholder George D. Muller

John Le Gates and John Van Nuys, both of the Veterans' Alliance thanked the Freeholders individually for their support of the Moving Wall coming to Flemington as well as thanking them on behalf of various County Departments and staff who volunteered their time and effort in making the event as successful as it was. Mr. Van Nuys also informed the Board that several of the directional signs to Tuccamirgan Park, where the Moving Wall was located, had similar plagues mounted to them and they will be given to the many individuals who assisted the Hunterdon County Veterans Alliance. Mr. Van Nuys stated over 7000 people came to visit the wall last year.
