May, 2004 - Older American's Moth
WHEREAS, the month of May is traditionally designated and observed throughout the nation as Older Americans Month; and
WHEREAS, the 2004 theme is “Aging Well, Living Well”, in celebration and recognition of older Americans who are living longer, healthier and more productive lives; and
WHEREAS, older persons are not just adding years to their lives, but they are also improving the quality of their lives; and
WHEREAS, older Americans remain active and productive, volunteering their time, talents and expertise, enriching all our lives.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, by the Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Hunterdon that the month of May, 2004, be hereby declared as OLDER AMERICANS MONTH, in the County of Hunterdon, and calls upon communities to honor and celebrate the outstanding contributions of Hunterdon County’s older residents.
