PROCLAMATION
Week of May 6, 2002
Public Employees Recognition Week

WHEREAS, in the name of service, Public Employees have made great contributions to society in areas such as health care, education, crime prevention, fire protection, energy conservation and many others; and

WHEREAS, the effectiveness and efficiency of government depends in large measure on Public Employees who provide services of quality and quantity that is required and expected by the public on a daily basis; and

WHEREAS, the importance of public service rendered by Public Employees and the exemplary manner of their performances are too often forgotten or ignored; and

WHEREAS, Public Employers serve tirelessly, showing endless dedication and talent through the many contributions they make at all levels of government;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Hunterdon does hereby proclaim the week of May 6 through 12, 2002 as Public Employees Recognition Week in the County of Hunterdon and urges the residents of the County to recognize the many contributions Public Employees make to society.
