Project HOPE stands for:
Helping Other People Everyday

This program was created in the fall of 2000 by Sue Hendershot and Jim Meert, two Hunterdon Central High School Guidance Counselors. For the expressed purpose of high school students interacting with senior citizens in a creative and meaningful way. The program enlists students in their freshman year through their senior year, and continues with the incoming freshman class.

The program is open to all Hunterdon County Seniors 60 years of age or older. Some Activities include Halloween Party, Game Nights, Holiday Party, Spring Dance, and other activities throughout the school year. These programs are run in the High School Cafeteria, located at the Commons Building, on Junction road.
