HUNTERDON COUNTY'S RESPONSE TO COUNTY PRESS RELEASE The impact of Hurricane Katrina on the gulf coast area of the United States is catastrophic. With more than one thousand deaths and tens of thousands of homeless this event is being described as the worst natural disaster in modern times. Hunterdon County has been coordinating efforts with the State of New Jersey to provide resources when the state receives authorization to deploy assistance. |
Resources for Possible Deployment Hunterdon County is working on establishing the following Resources for possible future deployment:
- Fire Service Task Force
- Decontamination trailer
- Medical Reserve Corps
- Specialty Positions as requested.
Hunterdon County has been making contact with all volunteers and we will provide a list of items that you should bring with you if you are deployed for volunteer services. The list of required items forthcoming.
