NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL HEALTH (NAMI)/HUNTERDON:

NAMI offers two free programs for families of loved ones with mental health challenges.   NAMI Family-to-Family is NAMI's flagship program and is recognized as an Evidence-Based Program for relatives of adults with mental illness. NAMI Basics is a Best Practice Program (currently in the process of obtaining Evidence-Based recognition) for parents (and primary caregivers) of school-age children/adolescents with mental challenges (whether diagnosed or not). No family should face this journey alone!

"The Hunterdon County Stigma-Free Task Force follows the national campaign effort that promotes acceptance and confronts stereotypes, so that those who struggle with mental health challenges will seek help and not suffer in silence. The campaign recognizes there is no shame in identifying the illness and asking for help and that people can and do recover and go to live successful lives. Please contact the Department of Human Services for more information on how to get involved ".
