Improved Pregnancy Outcome
The Improved Pregnancy Outcome (IPO) Program provides referral, counseling and educational services to pregnant women who reside in Hunterdon County. The primary goal is to help ensure a healthy outcome for mother and child, by coordinating the delivery of essential prenatal care. Below are just a few of the areas in which IPO can assist you:

- Locating funds to pay for pregnancy
- Receiving prenatal care
- Information on nutrition
- Free childbirth classes
- Newborn education
- Parenting education
- Healthy living

Scheduled visits are made by the Public Health nurse focusing on pregnancy education, childbirth preparation and parenting skills. These services are also available to Spanish speaking clients. Bilingual nurses are Jen and Ivonne.
Adolescent Pregnancy Project
This unique project provides all the same valuable services of the IPO program, with an extra emphasis on meeting the special needs of teens.
By meeting with teens in the school environment, education will not be interrupted while essential prenatal care is being provided.
All counseling and education services are completely confidential and FREE.
