Hunterdon County Division of Health Announces Joint Partnership for Flu Shot Clinics
The Hunterdon County Board of Chosen Freeholders approved a request from the Division of Health to partner with Ronald M Frank, MD, a county resident, to co-sponsor five Community Flu Shot and Public Health Education Clinics this year.
The clinics will be held at as follows:
Dr. Frank and his staff will be administering flu v accines for adults and children 6 months of age and older. Preservative-free injectable and nasal Spray flu vaccines will be available upon request. Due to the rise of Pertussis (Whooping Cough) cases, adult Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) vaccines will be available in addition to pneumonia vaccines for eligible participants. These convenient clinics are designed to meet the needs of the entire family. Dr. Frank will be available at the clinics to answer vaccine related questions.
Dr. Frank will accept most major insurance plans. No co-pays or deductibles are required for participants with Traditional Medicare Part B, Medicare Advantage, Aetna PPO, AmeriHealth PPO, Cigna (without PCP on card), HealthNet, Blue Cross BlueShield/ Horizon Products, and United Healthcare/Oxford. Please present all insurance cards at the clinic to determine eligibility. For those without insurance, or plans that Dr. Frank does not participate with, the flu vaccine cost is $20 for the injectable, $30 for the Flu Mist nasal spray and $40 for the adult Tdap.

Please note that only individuals from ages 2-49 with no chronic medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, etc. and who are not pregnant are eligible to receive flu mist.
The Divisions of Health and Public Health Nursing will be sponsoring free blood pressure screenings at the clinics, as well as providing health education on a variety of topics including emergency preparedness, cancer prevention, healthy living, Lyme Disease and other tickborne diseases, and flu prevention. The County Sheriffs Department will also be sponsoring a medication drop off, and the Child ID program.
The clinics will also have a community service component. The Clinton Sunrise Rotary, Whitehouse Rotary, and Flemington Jewish Community Center will be collecting non-perishable food donations for local food pantries.
