Partnership Action Teams Make Strides
Want to learn about what the Hunterdon County Partnership for Health has been up to in 2007? Then plan to attend the County Health Officer’s Second Annual Meeting for the Public -mandated by the Public Health Practice Standards – to inform Hunterdon residents on the current status of health and the progress of the Partnership for Health Action Teams toward the goals of the CHIP. It is part of a 12-year-old collaboration of the Hunterdon County Department of Health, the Hunterdon Medical Center and more than 40 community service providers.
"Everyone in Hunterdon County is welcome to attend," said John Beckley, health officer and director of the county health department. "You will hear the news about both the quality of health and the ambitious work of the five Action Teams charged with making positive changes regarding the five crucial health issues here in Hunterdon County." The event is being held on Tuesday, April 29 at the Hunterdon Medical Center auditorium from 5:30pm-7:30pm.
In addition to Beckley, speakers will include Matt Holt, Hunterdon County freeholder and county health department liaison, Robert Wise, president and chief executive officer of Hunterdon Healthcare System, Dr. Jorge Berkowitz, chairman of the Community Health Advisory Committee, Kathy Roye Horn, director of Infection Control Services at Hunterdon Medical Center, and Rose Mehrlust, Partnership for Health coordinator.
