Municipal Question
SHALL THE TOWNSHIP OF DELAWARE ADOPT AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE "OPEN SPACE TRUST FUND" THAT SHALL HAVE THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS:

A. THE LOCAL PROPERTY TAX THAT FUNDS THE "OPEN SPACE TRUST FUND" SHALL BE INCREASED FROM THE PRESENT FOUR CENTS ($0.04) PER $100.00 OF ASSESSED VALUE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE TOWNSHIP TO SIX CENTS ($0.06) PER $100.00 OF ASSESSED VALUE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE TOWNSHIP. THE TAX INCREASE OF $0.02 PER $100.00 OF ASSESSED VALUE WILL INCREASE THE PROPERTY TAXES ON A HOME WITH THE MEDIAN VALUE OF APPROXIMATELY $477.500.00 BY NOT MORE THAN $95.50 ANNUALLY.

B. SAID FUNDS SHALL BE DESIGNATED SOLEY FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY, DEVELOPEMENT RIGHTS AND/OR EASEMENTS WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP OF DELAWARE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PRESERVATION OF AGRICULTURAL LANDS, FARMLAND, GENERAL OPEN SPACE, RECREATION, CONSERVATION, AND HISTORIC STRUCTURES, PROPERTIES, FACILITIES, SITES OR AREAS; OR FOR THE PAYMENT OF DEBT SERVICES OR INDEBTEDNESS ISSUED OR INCURRED BY THE TOWNSHIP FOR ANY OF THE PURPOSES DESCRIBED ABOVE, TO BE FUNDED BY AN ANNUAL TAX ASSESSMENT NOT TO EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF SIX CENTS ($0.06) PER $100.00 OF TOTAL ASSESSED VALUE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITH THE TOWNSHIP.
