Indigo Bunting, male (Passerina cyanea). Living in meadows and brushy pastures, the small male finch is easily recognized by its overall rich, deep blue color. In the autumn, the male becomes more like the plain brown female, but with some distinct blue color along the bars of its wings and tail.
