Wood Nettle (Laportea canadensis). This plant is found in low woods and streambanks. The small greenish flowers appear from July through September. Female flowers are in loose, elongated clusters in the upper axils, while male flowers are in shorter clusters in lower axils (Niering & Olmstead 811).
