Sassafras (Sassafras albidum). Sassafras has three types of leaf structure. It has a simple lobe structure- the middle leaf in the picture, the mitten- a simple lobe with a thumb (on the far left), and a tri-lobe structure like that on the right. The roots of Sassafras can be ground to make a tea.
