Japanese Honeysuckle (Lonicera Japonica). Many insects feed on the nectar of honeysuckle plants and the berries it produces. There are native honeysuckle plants in the United States, but there are also invasive shrubs which are taking over. The Japanese Honeysuckle is one such shrub, introduced from Asia, which can engulf a woodland and choke out trees due to its climbing speed (Niering & Olmstead 458).
