Golden Waxy Cap (Hygrocybe flavescens). The flesh of the Golden Waxy Cap is thin, yellow, and waxy. The cap is broadly convex, becoming plane or with a slightly uplifted margin. It has a smooth surface which is bright lemon-yellow to golden-yellow and is viscid when moist. This mushroom is generally found in woods, but is widely distributed (Arora 115).
