Indian Pipe (Monotropa uniflora). This is a native saprophyte that lives off decaying roots of other plants, especially trees. It can be found in the northern part of North America and in the South in the mountains. It lives in shady woods with soil rich from decaying vegetation and is visible from June - September (Jiasuey & Allaire).
