Back red-eyed vireo Next

Red-eyed Vireo (Vireo olivaceus). One of the most common birds of the Eastern forests, the Red-eyed Vireo is heard far more than it is seen. It sings continuously from the forest canopy from dawn to dusk. They are small in size (12-13 cm long), with an olive-green back and a whiter underside. Their crown is gray to bluegray. Their eyebrow is white with a black stripe through the eye, which is dark red (Cornell Ornithology Lab).
