White Snakeroot (Eupatorium rugosum). Thriving in forests, these plants have long, slender, sparse green leaves and can grow one to three feet in height. At the top of the plants, there are clusters of up 30 brilliant white flowers. In Colonial times, leaves were gathered and burned into a sweat bath to revive someone from fainting spells or having convulsions. As herbal medicine, this plant was also prevention against coughs and colds.
