Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa)Wild Bergamot grows two to three feet high and lives on dry hillsides and woods margins.  This member of the mint family is pollinated by honey bees and had many medicinal uses by Native Americans, including skin infections and mouth and throat infections.  It is also the source of thymol, the main active ingredient in modern mouthwashes.
