Canoeing the South Branch Reservation

Teasel (Dipsacus sylvestris). Teasel is a common wildflower which has prickly cones and a prickly stem. It is endemic to Europe, and was possibly introduced to North America as early as 1700. A single teasel plant can produce over 2,000 seeds.
