Honey Locust Pod.  The fruit of the Honey Locust Tree (Gleditsia triacanthos)is inside this capsule with its wavy edges.  The leathery seed pod grows from 1 to 1.5 feet in length.  It matures in autumn when it turns a dark brown color and the seeds become pronounced.
