Echo Hill Main Lodge

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • The Echo Hill Section is the County's nature education area and is frequently used by school and scout groups for environmental study.
  • Parking is permitted only in designated areas. There are 23 vehicles MAXIMUM in the main lot and 2 handicap spaces.
  • A payphone is located on the rear exterior of the Main Lodge. To contact a Ranger on weekends or evenings, contact Hunterdon County Communications at 908-788-1202. For emergencies, Dial 9-1-1.
  • It is the policy of the Hunterdon County Division of Parks & Recreation to provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities upon advance notice of need.
  • Water available seasonally April 1st through November 1st .
  • Groups of 15 or more are required to obtain a permit to use a specific facility.
  • NO CAMPING from November 15th – April 15th

Main Lodge InteriorMAIN LODGE:

  • OFFICIAL FIRE CODE CAPACITY: 100 people 2/tables; 100 people w/chairs; 100 people standing
  • AMENITIES: Kitchen facility (includes refrigerator-no stove), coffee pot, stage, central heat and projection screen.
  • NO AIR CONDITIONING.
  • VEHICLES: Parking at main parking lot.
  • NOTE:
    • Fireplace may be used if requested on permit in advance. Only Duralogs are to be used.
    • Lodge is not available for reservation during the summer months.
    • Smoking is prohibited in the building.
    • Recycling containers are identified and provided for your use.
    • Room set-up by Hunterdon County Parks Division, with floor plans available.
    • Size of table's 8' x 2 ½'. 10 tables
    • Any damage to the floor, exhibits or any other items in the building will be the responsibility of the person
      named on the permit, and will require repair or replacement by that person.
  • NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED

  • AMENITIES: Kitchenette with refrigerator, projection screen, central heat and air conditioning, coffee pot.
  • VEHICLES: Parking at Main Lot.
  • NOTE:
    • Smoking is prohibited.
    • Recycling containers are identified and provided for your use.
    • Room set-up by Hunterdon County Parks Division, with floor plans available.
    • Size of table's 8'x 2 ½'. 5 tables
    • Any damage to the carpet, exhibits or any other items in the building will be the responsibility of the person named on the permit, and will require repair or replacement by that person.
  • NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED

ECHO HILL NORTH END FIELD CAMP SITE (Tent Camping Only):

  • CAPACITY: 50 People
  • VEHICLES: No vehicles are permitted in the tent camping area.
  • NOTE:
    • Pick-up keys at the HC Arboretum on Friday before 4:30 pm (for rest rooms & park gate)
    • Camping available for organized groups
    • One fire ring and three picnic tables available
    • Please dispose of your refuse in the garbage cans and recycling containers in the park.
    • NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED
  • NO WINTER CAMPING

DIRECTIONS TO ECHO HILL

  • FROM FLEMINGTON: Take Route 31 North 5.6 miles. Turn left on to Stanton Station Road and travel 0.4 miles. Turn right at the Stanton Station general Store, onto Lilac Drive. Travel 0.4 miles to the entrance of Echo Hill.
  • FROM CLINTON / I-78: Take Route 31 South 4.8 miles to Stanton Station road. Turn right and travel 0.4 miles to Stanton Station General Store, onto Lilac Drive. Travel 0.4 miles to the entrance of Echo Hill.
