Meet Two of the RB II Dancers!
Graham Ersnest Albachten is a native of New Jersey. Graham Albachten received his training at the Mill Ballet School under the direction of Melissa and Mark Roxey. Graham has been a participant in Roxey Ballet activities since he was a 6 years old. Starting ballet at the age of 6, Graham immediately found a great love for performing and debuted in Roxey Ballet's (then know as HCYB) first full length ballet, The Nutcracker, as a party boy. Since then he has danced various roles in all of the ballets performed by the company and school, such as Russian (Trepak), Spanish (chocolate), and Toy Soldier in the Nutcracker, Cavalier and Troll in Cinderella, and many other pieces of original choreography performed by the company. At age 11, he was accepted into Roxey Ballet's second company, and at 13, Graham was invited to join the Roxey Ballet's professional company as a junior apprentice. At this time he was given a prominent role in Dracula, and went on tour to Vermont with the company to perform as R.M. Renfield. In June of 2005, he was accepted into American Ballet Theatre's prestigious six week Summer Intensive in New York City on a scholarship. Graham is a charter member of Roxey Ballet II and is now an apprentice to the main company.
Nicole Calabrese has been a part of Roxey Ballet's Second Company for six years. She has danced numerous roles with Roxey Ballet including Clara in The Nutcracker, Fall Fairy in Cinderella, and Hilda, the mayor's daughter in the Pied Piper of Hamlin. Nicole has also performed in other Roxey Ballet performances such as The Emerging Choreographic Showcase, Evening of Romantic Dance, and last spring's premiere of Project Performance. Nicole has performed Roxey Ballet repertory such as La Baliene Blanche, Celebrating Diversity, Inside the Out, Artillery Man, and InXess of Four. She has worked with various choreographers including Patricia Brown, Anne Connors, Leland Schwantes, Greg Daniels, Mark and Melissa Roxey, and many others. Nicole has also performed at the Bucks County Playhouse, dancing the role of Belladova in Phantom. She was also a featured dancer in "Swing" the Musical! Nicole currently attends Hunterdon Central Regional High School in Flemington, New Jersey where she is a junior. She is involved in the choir as well as their theater program. Nicole has enjoyed her past years being apart of the Roxey Ballet II and is looking forward to this upcoming year.
