An awards presentation ceremony was held in the historic Hunterdon County Courthouse, Main Street, Flemington, on Tuesday, May 02, 2017 during the Hunterdon County Board of Chosen Freeholder's Regular Meeting.

107 Essays were submitted ths year and were judged by the Retired Teachers Association. Winning students in all categories had been invited to attend the awards presentation with their family, friends and teacher. DOWNLOAD PRESS RELEASE

Freeholders King & Holt, Roxanne Kloos, Christian Bach (2017 Junior Historian),
Jake Mikruk (2nd place winner), Bonnie Wade-Taffera, Freeholders Lanza & Lagay,
and Carrie Fellows, Executive Director, Cultural and  Heritage

After the Presentation of Awards, the Board of Chosen Freeholders finished up their meeting asking some of the students to stand in for them.
