The County Administrator, Cynthia J. Yard, is an Executive Officer of the Board of Chosen Freeholders. Mrs. Yard is the Chief Administrative Official of and for the County of Hunterdon. She administers the affairs of the County of Hunterdon and is responsible to the Board of Chosen Freeholders for the efficient, orderly and economic administration and execution of the affairs of the County.

The County Administrator supervises all County personnel and makes recommendations concerning the appointment, promotion, removal, discipline, supervision and control of all Department Heads as well as other officials, subordinates, and their employees.
