This document is REQUIRED to be filled out to dispose of your flood damaged materials (see procedures below for further instructions).

NOTE: Your Local OEM Officer and/or Municipal Office have received copies of this form. Please contact your municipal OEM Officer or Municipal Office for additional information and forms if needed.

PROCEDURES FOR INDIVIDUALS

NOTE: The Program has been extended to Wednesday, July 19, 2006.

  1. If a designated municipality is not providing a cleanup program for items that have been damaged as a result of the June 2006 Flooding, County residences will be allowed the free disposal of one load of flood/water damaged materials at the Hunterdon County Transfer Station. This temporary program will begin on Monday, July 3, 2006 through Friday, July 14, 2006 - and please note the Transfer Station will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th for the holiday . Delivers can be made Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and on Saturday 7:00 am to 10:00 am.
  2. Only flood/water damaged materials from private households located in Hunterdon County will be accepted at no charge.
  3. Delivers of flood/water damaged materials will only be permitted in privately licensed vehicles.
  4. Those delivering materials for disposal will have to provide their name, address, a copy of a valid New Jersey State divers license and license plate number on the Certification of Flood Damage Form
  5. If a municipality is providing it's residents with a cleanup program for flood/water damaged materials, individual deliveries to the transfer station will be prohibited. Please check with your municipality prior to transporting the debris to the Transfer Station

 

 

PROCEDURES FOR DESIGNATED MUNICIPALITIES

NOTE: The Program has been extended to Wednesday, July 19, 2006.

  1. The designated municipalities that conduct a clean-up program for flood/water damaged materials can dispose of the collected materials at the Hunterdon County Transfer Station during normal hours of operation (Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays 7:00 am to 10:00 pm)
  2. All vehicles delivering materials for disposal by the designated municipalities must have a valid New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection registration decal.
  3. The County will be responsible for ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) of the payment of the tipping fees of flood damaged materials during the time period of Monday, July 3, 2006 through Friday, July 14, 2006 for the designated municipalities.
    • NOTE: The Transfer Station will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th for the Holiday
  4. Those delivering materials for disposal must provide a completed New Jersey Department of Environmental origin and destination (O&D) form.
  5. In the event a private contractor is delivering materials on a designated municipality's behalf, a written approval from the designated municipality must be provided prior to the disposal of any materials.
