Subject: Emergency Pantry Opening

We need your help to get the word out about an emergency opening:

First, The Flemington Area Food Pantry has MOVED! (well almost)

We were unable to enlist your help although many of you offered. At the last minute we were caught between the necessary closing of our old site and unavailability of the new one (Cert of Occupancy, water, etc). The plan had been to move October 31-Nov 4th but volunteers who could get out got an early start when the pantry was closed due to Hurricane Sandy.  Where are we now? we are across the parking lot from the Wal-Mart Store in the Lowe's Plaza, (gray-blue building with white trim) the easiest access is from Minneakoning Road (truck entrance).

Why we need your help -  we always need your help, but right now we are trying to get the message out that the pantry will be open to distribute emergency food on Monday, November 5th. ANYONE who needs emergency food can come to the pantry on Monday. Because of the generous support of you and your neighbors throughout the county we can distribute food to people in need because of the hurricane beyond those normally eligible. We would greatly appreciate your help in getting this message out. If you have access to a group that can help get the word out please forward this message to them.

If you and yours weathered the storm well and you would like to donate, we now have a separate door for donations at the back of the building on the left (past the overhead door). Our address has not changed and is still PO Box 783, Flemington, NJ 08822.

As always, the pantry exists because of the generosity of the people in Hunterdon County it is a great community effort.

We hope you are safe and warm.

Karen Yowell
Treasurer,
Flemington Area Food Pantry
