FIREWATCH PROGRAM

The Hunterdon County Department of Public Safety was created in 2005 as a move to consolidate the Public Safety services provided by the County. The Department consists of the County Communications System (9-1-1), the Office of Emergency Management, County Jail, County Youth Facility, Office of the County Fire Marshal, Emergency Services Training Center, and Homeland Security.

The mission of Hunterdon County’s Department of Public Safety is to provide a wide range of preventative, protective, and emergency services aimed at maintaining the quality of life for the general public.
